Angela Gregory was the first woman sculptor in Louisiana to achieve international acclaim in the late 1920s. She was commissioned to create architectural works for many of Louisiana’s most important buildings, including the Louisiana State Capitol. This ground-breaking series of annual exhibitions encompassed: Life and Legacy (2022); Portraits and Process (2023); Architectural Commissions and Monuments (2024); and The Henry Watkins Allen Monument (2025). Accompanied by an online version in English and French, two publications, lectures, panel discussions on public art, and teacher workshops.
